Windows dhcp not updating dns

The default profile suggests that these files should be put in /var/lib/bind.

Imagine if an important server's DNS A record suddenly gets changed to the wrong IP. DDNS can sometimes go on a walkabout and it's important to know where to start troubleshooting if this happens.

Let's demonstrate a typical troubleshooting scenario that you may come across with DDNS.

However, these "dynamic" DNS records expire after some time (a few weeks)...

I have followed these 2 guides: which works as a caching nameserver but does the dhcp server does not update the DNS server. Any way have now been successful after following these guides: https://help.ubuntu.com/8.04/serverg...-configuration which probably give a more secure result as the rdnc key is not exposed?
